ohmigosh, Mare. You are hilarious. And if i have to tell you a million times, so be it: "You should be published." Seriously. I would PAY to read your blog entries - like yesterday. What? Girl, you are amazing. I've got vivid pictures of you and company sitting on a fair British lawn under parasols in your "cutting edge (!) fashions of early 19th century England." You're holding this delicious secret in your mind and heart - but it's spilling out through your beaming smiles as your cohort shares struggles and empathy. Beautiful. And who can weave narcolepsy, dirty blue jackets, ecclesiastes and jane austen together so seamlessly? Really, who? YOU. Amazing. And then with the lark news. Hi-larious. My prayer request? Pray for my kick-a** sister, Mary, to get published. (or be elected president.) I love you. You amaze me.

"Pray for our apartment coz the devil lives there. He takes on the form of a mouse that rummages through the trash in the kitchen. My roommates and I have confronted him several times with mousetraps, intercessory prayer, mops, brooms and a late night prayer vigil but no luck so far. We are considering an exorcist but our landlord will probably get an exterminator first. Pray that his Spiritual eyes are opened to looking beyond the natural. It’s hard being a christian in the West where people are blinded to the spiritual realm."

I might be missing the humor in these...but here, let me try:
God, pray for Brett Favre, Ahman Green, and the Green Bay Packers, that their efforts to defeat the Washington Redskins this year would not fail, as the welfare of the world depends on them being victorious.
(That is, since 1936, if the Redskins win their last home game before the election, the incumbant party wins the presidential election. So, if the Packers beat them this year, John Kerry will take office and the world will once again be safe from American imperialism.)
