digs

since all maybe 2 people have been asking, here's what my new digs look like since the upgrade.

exciting, eh?

this was during a busy week. my desk space is actually a little cramped, but i'm really grateful for the room. so no more complaining from me.

okay, back to work ...

Yay, Mary! Thanks for the glimpse into your world. I admit, my imagined picture of your new office included a larger - and darker - room. This looks cozy. and kind of like a closet? Hmm. But you're small, so you probably have enough room in there. (smile, wink, lots of love to you) You've warmed up the space well, from the art on the walls, to the desk lamp, to the tower of yearbooks...? Hm. Maybe they should supply you with a shelf? or something? anyway, thanks for the photo. It's like I'm there! xoxoxox Sarah

ok, well, it's not that small. it's actually probably about 9'x10' and i've got 3 bookshelves behind me. and if you're sitting at my desk, there's a chair to my right for guests (right by the door to the office).

and yes, i have two lamps - one of which i use during the school year to warm up the flourescent nastiness. i only use them both in the summer when our office resists all flourescent lights and opts for natural lighting and floor lamp-lighting instead. it's really cozy then :)

Dear Mary, I love your new office! I especially love the large picture of me on your desk. Oh wait; there is no picture of me on your desk. Mary, I am extremely disappointed in you. After all that we have been through at least you could have placed a small picture of me on your desk. I feel so rejected and neglected by you. Does our friendship mean anything to you? I hope with my whole heart and soul we can work this out.
Anyway, Nice blog it’s great!

There may not be a picture of Mark, but I am proud to note that a picture of moi is gracing your desk. Obviously, Mark, I rank first in Mary's heart (as I should). Thanks Mary for making that clear! And Mark, careful what you say to my best friend... :)

P.S. Your office is very fun. My office (and I've put in over two years in this place) is sadly bare... perhaps testiment to my desire to leave?? Love you!

alright, mark, bring shelly to chicago and i'll snap a picture of the two of you and display it prominently on my desk. problem solved?

and on another note, you know the song "whiter shade of pale" by procol harum? since when is that referred to as "psychedelic rock"? anyway ...

i don't know if i'll ever be able to do a mac, teresa. they frighten me a little. windows is nice and organized ...

ALTHOUGH, i would trade my work computer in a heartbeat. it's intermittently possessed by angry computer germs who drive me to seek shelter at starbucks and spend all my money on coffee. they are evil ...

evil, yes. as long as you have a windows machine, you'll have little evil viruses. people don't bother making viruses for macs. at least not yet. ;-)

i won't try and convince you...(although I guess that's what I'm trying or else I wouldn't have commnted)...but once you've truly experienced a mac you'll never go back! ;-)
